Argument between 2 Jefferson County brothers, ages 74 and 63, ends with both shot

Two brothers were hospitalized Friday morning after they possibly shot each other during an argument.

Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched just before 7:30 a.m. to the 3000 block of Rose Hill Drive on a report of a person shot. That is near Palmerdale.

Sheriff’s spokesman Henry Irby said deputies arrived to find a 74-year-old man and a 63-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions have not been released.

Irby said the two men were involved in a verbal altercation that led to shots fired.

While it appeared they may have shot each other, investigators are working to speak with both men to get more details.
