An argument between two acquaintances turned deadly Sunday afternoon, leaving one man dead and another in custody.

According to Mobile police, officers were summoned to Bel Air Apartments just after 4 p.m. Sunday on a report of a man being shot.

When they arrived, the found 24-year-old Aeron Lao, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Alec Tran, was located at the scene and taken into custody.

Preliminary investigation determined the two men knew each other and got into an argument before Tran allegedly shot Lao, according to police.

Tran was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail, with a bond hearing set for Monday.
