After a three year hiatus, season nine of the MTV reality dating series Are You The One? will be available to stream Jan. 18, 2023.

Tonight’s episode will introduce 22 heartbroken singles from around the globe who will go through an extensive match-making process in the Canary Islands for a chance to find love and win $1 million.

Those who want to watch the season premiere in can stream new episodes exclusively with Paramount+.

What is Paramount+?

Paramount+ is the streaming platform perfectly catered to those who grew up in the 90′s and early 2000′s. It has all of the early Nickelodeon cartoons from Spongebob to Rocko’s Modern Life along with MTV hit shows such as Girl Code and Silent Library.

Are You The One? uses modern technology to help people find love. Throughout the series, a dating algorithm is used to help quantify compatibility, using a process that includes in-depth interviews, questionnaires and compatibility testing.

This data is used to identify the ideal pairs among the 20-plus participants. However, the results are kept a secret from the singles, who get to know one another socially and undergo weekly tests to try to pick their ideal mates while living together.

If the mates they choose do not match that of the data, they must start their search over. If all of the singles are able to match up with their predetermined partners, they share the largest cash prize ever awarded by an MTV show and walk away with a potential partner for life.
