Apple to stop selling some Apple Watches in U.S.
Apple will stop selling some versions of the Apple Watch in the U.S. due to a patient dispute.
The tech company confirmed to CNN the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 will be removed from Apple.com Thursday and from retail locations after Dec. 24. The removal comes amid an ongoing dispute with medical company Masimo over the watch’s blood oxygen sensor technology.
According to CNN, Apple is currently in a review process with the International Trade Commission related to the blood oxygen feature and is “preemptively taking steps to comply,” should trademark rulings stand.

“Apple strongly disagrees with the order and is pursuing a range of legal and technical options to ensure that Apple Watch is available to customers,” the statement continued.
The Apple Watch SE, which lacks the oxygen sensor, is unaffected and will remain available for sale.
According to 9to5mac, existing Apple Watch models with blood oxygen monitoring will continue to function without change and the ban only applies to new sales of affected Apple Watch models.
