Apple juice recall: Juice sold in Alabama, other states recalled over potentially high arsenic levels
More than 133,000 cases of apple juice have been pulled from shelves nationwide after the products were found to potentially contain harmful levels of arsenic, according to an announcement from the Food and Drug Administration.
The recall is an expansion of a previous recall. In August, Florida-based manufacturer Refresco Beverages US Inc. voluntarily recalled more than 9,000 cases of Great Value brand apple juice sold in Walmart.
