AOC mocks Trump border czar for suggesting she may be ‘in trouble’ for aiding undocumented migrants

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mocked Trump border czar Tom Homan after he suggested she may face legal trouble over a webinar helping undocumented migrants resist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

In a Thursday night tweet, the New York congresswoman and liberal darling posted in alternating capitalizations to convey mockery toward immigration hardliner Homan, implying the Know Your Rights webinar hosted on her Instagram page Wednesday did not break any laws.

“‘MaYbe shE’s goiNg to be in TroUble nOw,‘” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start.”

The congresswoman was responding to Homan’s appearance on Fox News, where the border czar said he’s seeking guidance on the legality of the webinar.

“I sent a letter today to the deputy attorney general. At what level is that impediment? Is that impediment? I’m not an attorney, I’m not a prosecutor. Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts? If so, what are we going to do about it?,” Homan told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham.

During the webinar, Ocasio-Cortez reportedly told participants, “When one of these things [raids] comes to your backyard, you can resist, and when that happens over millions of people, is that you generate enough friction that they cannot go as fast as they want to go.”

“Is she crossing the line? Where’s that line that they crossed, so maybe AOC is going to be in trouble or not? But I need the [attorney general’s office] to opine on that,” Homan continued, adding that his opinion is that Ocasio-Cortez is impeding federal law enforcement.
