Another round of strong storms possible Saturday in Alabama

More isolated severe storms will be possible in Alabama today as a cold front moves into the state.

NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has included most of Alabama in a Level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather on Saturday, which means that isolated severe storms will be possible.

The strongest storms could contain damaging winds, hail and heavy rain.

Storms will be progress across the state through the evening hours.

Rain and storms were starting to move into north Alabama on Saturday morning and will progress southward and eastward through the day today.

The National Weather Service said storms should increase in number and strength during the afternoon as temperatures rise.

The storms are expected to move out of Alabama later tonight.

Clouds and showers could linger in parts of the state on Sunday, but no severe weather is expected, according to the weather service.
