Another round of storms possible in Alabama on Saturday
More isolated strong storms will be possible in Alabama on Saturday, according to forecasters.
NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has a Level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather in place for south Alabama during the day on Saturday. Areas roughly south of Montgomery will be the places to watch for stronger storms.
A Level 1 risk means that isolated severe weather will be possible.
The National Weather Service said the strongest storms could have damaging wind gusts, hail and heavy rain. There is also the possibility of a tornado.
The most likely time for storms will be during the afternoon and evening hours, according to forecasters.
The rest of the state could also have to deal with rain and even some storms, but severe weather isn’t expected.
Rain could last into Saturday night and Sunday morning before moving out of the state.
The first part of next week looks mostly dry, with rain chances possibly not returning until next weekend.
