Another New Orleans Saints WR arrested in Kenner

The New Orleans Saints will play the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday while dealing with the arrest of another wide receiver in Kenner, Louisiana.

Two-time All-Pro Michael Thomas faces charges of simple battery and criminal mischief after being arrested on Friday night. Both charges are misdemeanors.

Thomas was in the custody of the Kenner Police Department for about three hours on Friday after officers responded to a confrontation at a construction site in Thomas’ neighborhood.

The alleged victim, identified by WDSU-TV as Luis Cifuentes, told police that Thomas yelled at him about parking in front of the wide receiver’s house, issued verbal threats, threw a brick at his vehicle and shoved him, knocking the phone out of his hands, when he tried to video the incident.

On Oct. 23, Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was arrest in Kenner on suspicion of reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Olave did not miss any playing time.

Olave leads New Orleans with 50 receptions for 563 yards and two touchdowns. After playing in three games over the previous two seasons because of an ankle injury, Thomas has 38 receptions for 439 yards and one touchdown in nine games in 2023.
