Another accident occurs at proposed Huntsville subdivision entrance

There has been another accident near the proposed entry of a Green Mountain subdivision.

The crash – the second involving a cement truck – occurred Oct. 10. Green Mountain resident Brandy Wilson said that the driver was knocked unconscious and had to be pulled out by another driver. Emergency personnel worked the scene.

The cement truck drove into a field that is to be the site of the 48-lot Cove at Green Mountain subdivision that is expected to be constructed on a 177.8 acre site north of South Green Mountain Road and west of Old Big Cove Road.

The entry into the subdivision is at the bottom of the mountain below a curve on Green Mountain Road.

Although the accident didn’t result in a serious injury, Wilson believes it’s only a matter of time. Wilson has gone before city authorities to predict that someone will be killed in an accident if the entry to a proposed subdivision on her road isn’t changed.
