ALEA: Two killed in Conecuh County head-on crash

Two men were killed in a head-on collision in Conecuh County Monday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The crash occurred just before 4:30 a.m. Monday on U.S. 84 about two miles west of the Repton city limits. Initial investigation shows that a 2016 Kia Sportage driven by 22-year-old Taleik N. Benjamin of Evergreen collided head on with a 2016 Dodge Dart driven by 65-year-old Phillip D. Hall of Brewton.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

ALEA says Benjamin was not wearing a seat belt and the crash remains under investigation.
