The Alabama Department of Transportation has several projects on Jefferson County’s busiest roadways scheduled for completion over the next two months, said spokesperson Linda Crockett.

But a project with one of the biggest potentials for causing traffic issues – involving Interstate 65 between Hoover and downtown Birmingham – will have to wait until later in the year.

With several of these projects well underway, commuters may have already come into contact with the work areas. For others, drivers may need to be aware while traveling through the designated work zones.
