Alabama’s NCAA tournament projections, computer rankings

Alabama continues to make its case for its best NCAA tournament seed in program history as the current winning streak hit seven games Tuesday night.

Two years after securing a No. 2 seed, the Crimson Tide is in a position to qualify as a No. 1 after 18 games of the 2022-23 season.

At 16-2, Alabama is one of two unbeaten teams in SEC play with a 6-0 mark. Texas A&M (12-5 overall) is 4-0 while Tennessee and Auburn have one conference loss apiece.

At this point, it’s a matter of seeding for Alabama’s NCAA tournament bid as it’s assured a third straight trip for the first time since making five in a row from 2002-06.
