Alabama’s Jordan Battle withdraws from Senior Bowl
Former Alabama safety Jordan Battle has withdrawn from the 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl, game officials confirmed Tuesday.
Battle was still listed on the Senior Bowl official game roster distributed to media on Monday, but was not included in an online “reveal” of defensive back position groups Tuesday. It was not immediately clear what was Battle’s reason for pulling out of the annual college football all-star game and NFL draft showcase.

Battle’s exit leaves seven Alabama players in this year’s Senior Bowl, which takes place Feb. 4 at Mobile’s Hancock Whitney Stadium. Still confirmed for the game are tight end Cameron Latu, offensive linemen Tyler Steen and Emil Ekiyor, defensive linemen DJ Dale and Byron Young, linebacker Henry To’oTo’o and safety DeMarcco Hellams.
Battle (6-foot-1, 206 pounds) was a three-year starter for the Crimson Tide, and was named a second-team All-American in both 2021 and 2022. He totaled 71 tackles, an interception and two pass breakups as a senior.
The 2023 Reese Senior Bowl kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 4, with television coverage via NFL Network. For ticket information, visit SeniorBowl.com/tickets.
