Alabamaâs Jalen Milroe reveals favorite 2023 moment, and itâs not what you think
Jalen Milroe’s season is littered with highlight-reel plays. Whether it is through the air or with his legs, the Alabama quarterback has done it all in leading the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff semifinal date with No. 1 Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
Which moment tops his list, though?
“My favorite moment was USF,” Milroe revealed in a “College GameDay” segment Monday.
That would be the game Milroe was benched. The result was a ho-hum, 17-3 struggle win for the Crimson Tide.
In fact, Roydell Williams rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown a week after Milroe threw two interceptions in a 10-point loss to Texas. Against the Bulls, Alabama had to overcome inconsistent quarterback play and mistakes which saw the game 3-3 at halftime.
“We found out who we were as a football team,” Milroe explained. “We found out what our DNA was. That, honestly, got us to where we’re at now because everyone looked in the mirror and acknowledged what we needed to do to be a better football team.”
Since his benching, Milroe has accounted for 28 touchdowns and just four interceptions.
