Alabamaâs Dallas Turner, Terrion Arnold and Caleb Downs named to AP All-America team
Alabama football had six players named Associated Press All-Americans. The organization announced its three teams on Monday.
The Crimson Tide had the most first-team selections (three) of any program. Each honoree is a defensive player: outside linebacker Dallas Turner, cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry and defensive back Terrion Arnold.
Offensive tackle JC Latham, safety Caleb Downs made the second team. Kicker Will Reichard was a third-team honoree. Turner was announced as a first-teamer by the Football Writers Association of America earlier on Monday, Latham a second-teamer.
Last week, Downs was awarded the Southeastern Conference’s Newcomer of the Year award. The awards have rolled in for the Tide after a 12-1 season, conference title, and spot in the College Football Playoff. No. 4 Alabama will play No. 1 Michigan in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
