Alabama women’s soccer up to No. 2 in rankings
The historic run of the Alabama women’s soccer team reached another level when the latest weekly rankings were released.
The Crimson Tide are up to No. 2 in multiple polls including the United Soccer Coaches ranking listed on the NCAA website. Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News also had Alabama at No. 2.
The RPI has the Tide at No. 3.
UCLA tops the rankings with a 13-0-0 record with North Carolina (11-3-0) tied with Alabama for No. 2 in the coaches poll.
The Crimson Tide (13-1-1) are on a nine-game winning streak after beating LSU, 5-0 on Sunday. The only loss of the season came Aug. 21 at Miami with a 13-game unbeaten streak starting from there.
Alabama will face No. 7 Arkansas (10-2-1) at 11 a.m. CT Sunday in Tuscaloosa as four regular-season games remain. The SEC tournament runs Oct. 31-Nov. 6 in Pensacola.
