A woman is missing days after traveling to Jackson, Mississippi, to purchase a car, according to the Hattiesburg Police Department.

Now authorities are asking the public to help bring her home.

Tumeka Williams, 47, of Theodore, Alabama, drove more than 200 miles to the capital city on Feb. 20, police said. Relatives said she didn’t end up buying the vehicle and was headed back to Alabama when she disappeared.

At some point, Williams stopped at a Stuckey’s convenience store in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and told relatives she was getting back on the road, according to police. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Authorities said Williams was driving a 2003 gray Chevrolet Tahoe with tag number 5246BA2. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt, tan jacket and khaki pants.

Anyone with information on Williams’ disappearance is asked to call Hattiesburg police at 601-544-7900.
