Alabama welcomes 4-star forward Kris Parker to class of 2024
Alabama men’s basketball has its fourth commit in the class of 2024. Kris Parker, a 6-foot-6 forward, announced his decision on Instagram.
Parker chose the Crimson Tide over Villanova, Missouri and UCF. It continues a good few days for the program, which captured its second Southeastern Conference regular-season title on Wednesday.
Parker developed into a four-star at Crossroads (Fla.) Academy. A native of Quincy, Fla., Parker was the No. 90 player in the 247Sports Composite. Parker is the second top-100 commit currently committed, joining Sam Walters (No. 61), Mouhamed Dioubate (No. 106) and R.J. Johnson (No. 177).
Nate Oats’ class is currently ranked 12th in the 247 team ranking and second in the SEC behind Kentucky’s quartet of five stars. Alabama’s 2022 class — which ranked third overall featuring Brandon Miller, Jaden Bradley and Rylan Griffen — helped create one of the best teams to ever play in Coleman Coliseum, going undefeated at home and capturing the highest Associated Press poll ranking in program history.
