Add one more to the tornado count from last weekend’s severe weather.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham said storm survey teams have confirmed yet another tornado, this one in Greene and Hale counties, from a round of storms that affected the state Dec. 28 and 29.

Details are still to come, but the weather service said the tornado path stretches from far eastern Greene County into Hale County. Forecasters said it will likely be rated an EF1, but details are still to be worked out.

That brings the total from that event to 25 confirmed twisters across the state during those two days. In addition there was another tornado that hit Mobile County on Dec. 27.

Of the Dec. 28-29 tornadoes, 17 of those were in central Alabama. North Alabama had one and south Alabama had seven.

None of the tornadoes was blamed for any injuries. All of the storms were given preliminary ratings of EF0 and EF1.
