By scoring 10 points against Texas last week, Reichard passed Georgia K Rodrigo Blankenship, who scored 440 points from 2016 through 2019.

1 Previous game for Alabama against an American Athletic Conference opponent. The Crimson Tide defeated Cincinnati 27-6 in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31, 2021, in a CFP semifinal game. Alabama played three games against teams from the AAC’s ancestral conference, the Big East. The Tide defeated Temple 41-3 in Birmingham on Sept. 7, 1991, and Miami (Fla.) 34-13 in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 1993, and lost to Virginia Tech 38-7 in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 29, 1998.

2 Victories and six losses for South Florida against SEC opponents. Both victories came in Alabama. The Bulls beat Auburn 26-23 on Sept. 8, 2007, and South Carolina 46-39 on Dec. 29, 2016, in the Birmingham Bowl. Alabama will become the second SEC team to play South Florida in Tampa. Florida defeated USF 42-20 in Raymond James Stadium on Sept. 11, 2021.

The Crimson Tide’s trip to Tampa to play South Florida is their first game on the home field of a non-Power 5 conference opponent since Alabama lost at Hawaii 37-29 in 2003. The Bulls have two home victories over top-10 teams, beating No. 9 Louisville 45-14 in 2005 and No. 5 West Virginia 21-13 in 2007.

18 Tackles by Alabama S Caleb Downs in his first two college games. Downs led the Crimson Tide with eight tackles in the 56-7 victory over Middle Tennessee to open the season on Sept. 2 and tied for the team lead with 10 tackles in the 34-24 loss to Texas last week.

19 Consecutive seasons have featured at least 31 points for Alabama in the Crimson Tide’s third game of the year. The most recent season in which Alabama failed to score at least 31 points in Game 3 was 2003, when the Tide defeated Kentucky 27-17 in the third game.

52 Points were scored by Tennessee in its three-point victory over Alabama last season. South Florida head coach Alex Golesh was the Volunteers’ offensive coordinator. Golesh got his first victory as a head coach last week, when USF defeated Florida A&M 38-24. The Bulls dropped their season-opening game to Western Kentucky 41-24 on Sept. 2.

67 Completions on 118 passes for 949 yards with six TDs and eight interceptions in two seasons at Notre Dame for QB Tyler Buchner. Reports indicate Buchner will make his first start for Alabama on Saturday.

129 Games have been played by Alabama since the Crimson Tide most recently lost two in a row, the nation’s longest streak without consecutive losses. Alabama fell to Auburn 34-28 and to Oklahoma 45-31 in the Sugar Bowl to end the 2013 season. Alabama has lost 13 games since the back-to-back losses.

298 Games have been played by Alabama since it was most recently shut out, a school record and the third-longest scoring streak in SEC history. Alabama’s most recent shutout loss came 9-0 to Auburn on Nov. 18, 2000. Florida has a 436-game scoring streak going, and Georgia has scored in its past 358 games.

368 Rushing yards in four college starts for 18-year-old South Florida QB Byrum Brown. Since becoming the Bulls’ starting quarterback with two games left in the 2022 season, Byrum has completed 69-of-113 passes for 743 yards with eight TDs and three interceptions and run for 368 yards and seven TDs on 69 carries.
