Alabama under a wind chill advisory Tuesday
The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory at 9:41 p.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between midnight and noon for Blount, Etowah, Cherokee, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, St. Clair, Sumter, Greene, Hale and Marengo counties.
The weather service describes, “Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as zero.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken,” describes the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
