Alabama under a wind advisory until Tuesday morning
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 3:19 a.m. on Tuesday in effect until 9 a.m. for Lowndes, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike and Barbour counties.
The weather service comments, “Southeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Gusts may be as high as 40 mph.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Trees could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” adds the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
