A digital billboard along the main road leading to the beach’s condominiums in Orange Beach could be coming down after an Alabama Supreme Court ruling on Friday.

The state’s highest court ruled that complaints raised by Mobile-based Lamar Companies about Orange Beach’s alleged “selective enforcement” of its zoning ordinance was not a good enough excuse toward keeping its billboard standing near the beaches more than 12 years after a legal agreement was approved that ensured the structure be removed more than 13 months ago.
