Alabama student grazed by bullet during bomb threat investigation at high school
An Alabama student was grazed by a bullet at school Wednesday during a bomb threat investigation.
Police responded at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday to Anniston High School after a school resource officer was alerted to a bomb threat, said Anniston police Capt. Matt Caballero.
Officer responded and cleared the school of any explosive threat.
As students were re-entering the school, Caballero said, a gun was discharged, grazing the student. The injuries are not life-threatening.
Caballero said the discharge was not from an officer’s weapon. Investigators are still trying to determine who was in possession of the weapon.
No additional information is being released at this time.
