Alabama stays put in AP poll entering two-game road stretch

Alabama men’s basketball remained No. 4 in Monday’s Associated Press poll.

The Tide remained behind No. 1 Houston, No. 2 Kansas and No. 3 Purdue for a second week in a row. Alabama did not receive any first-place votes.

The coaches poll will be released later Monday. Alabama was No. 4 in last week’s coaches poll.

Alabama defeated then-No. 15 Arkansas on the road last week before blowing out LSU on Saturday.

The Tide plays Tuesday night at Vanderbilt, the team’s first game since reserve forward Darius Miles was charged Sunday with capital murder. It then travels again Saturday to face Missouri, which dropped out of this week’s AP poll.
