U.S. Sen. Katie Britt on Thursday night offered the Republican Party’s response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, broadcasting her from her kitchen in Alabama into homes across the nation.

Britt, 42, was the first Alabamian to deliver the response to the State of the Union.

One thing was clear: President Biden just doesn’t get it. He’s out of touch,” she said. “Under his Administration, families are worse off. Our communities are less safe, and our country is less secure.”

The reaction was as divided as the nation.

“Katie Britt was a GREAT contrast to an Angry, and obviously very Disturbed, “President.” She was compassionate and caring, especially concerning Women and Women’s Issues. Her conversation on Migrant Crime was powerful and insightful. Great job Katie!,” Donald Trump posted on Truth social.
