Alabama schools go remote Wednesday, April 10 due to severe weather
A large portion of Alabama is at risk for seeing severe weather on Wednesday.
Tornadoes — some of them strong ones — straight-line winds and heavy rain will all be possible with the strongest storms tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.
Heavy rain and flash flooding are also concerns, and some parts of the state could get up to half a foot of rain through Thursday. Flood watches have been issued for Wednesday as a result.
The Alabama counties in the Level 4 risk area are Choctaw, Washington and parts of Mobile, Clarke and Marengo.
(But note that severe weather could occur outside of those areas, and the Level 4 risk areas could shift again before Wednesday.)
