Alabama schools closing, delaying opening Thursday Jan. 23 after snow, winter storm
A historic winter storm in south Alabama on Tuesday brought well over 6 inches of snow to the region and many counties to advise against civilians driving on the roads.
Due to the weather conditions many schools throughout the state closed or were delayed Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Thursday, because of the persistence of snow for the southern part of the state, schools are still considering whether to modify school operations for a portion of the day or the entire day.
Here is a list of school closing, delays or changes.
This list will be updated as more information becomes available.
