Alabama Roots: 2024 NFL Draft picks
Twenty-seven prospects who played at Alabama high schools and colleges had their names called when the NFL held its 89th annual draft Thursday through Saturday.
Three more were drafted in 2024 than in 2023. In 2023, three more had been drafted than in 2022.
The prospects reached the NFL from Alabama, Auburn, Troy and UAB, and 10 played at Alabama high schools.
Nineteen NFL teams added players with Alabama football roots, with the Minnesota Vikings drafting three and the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks taking two apiece.
The prospects who played at Alabama high schools and colleges entering the NFL through the 2024 draft included:
J.C. Latham: Tennessee Titans
The Alabama offensive tackle was the seventh pick.

The Oregon quarterback was the 12th pick. Nix played at Pinson Valley High School and Auburn before Oregon.

The Alabama linebacker was the 17th pick.

The Alabama cornerback was the 24th pick.

Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry: New Orleans Saints
The Alabama cornerback was the 41st pick. McKinstry played at Pinson Valley High School.

Kamari Lassiter: Houston Texans
The Georgia cornerback was the 42nd pick. Lassiter played at American Christian Academy in Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama linebacker was the 57th pick.
