District 51 Rep. Allen Treadaway, R-Morris, recently answered some questions about what’s on his mind for the upcoming session and what he thought of the last one.

Was there anything in the last legislative session that was surprising to you?
Well, yeah, finally getting a chance to reduce the grocery tax from 4% to 2%. So, you know, that’s something that’s come up every year that I’ve been in the legislature and that’s obviously what a good economy will do, too.
