A contract security officer at a state prison was arrested Friday on several contraband-related charges, the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC)announced.

Khamya Rynea Walker, is an employee of Security Solutions — an ADOC security contractor — and worked at Easterling Correctional Facility in Barbour County.

Walker was taken to the Barbour County Jail on charges of second-degree promoting prison contraband, conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime and possession of a controlled substance.

ADOC did not elaborate on the allegations against Walker.

The department’s Law Enforcement Services Division, which made the arrest, has not finished its investigation into the incident and further charges may be pending, the agency said.
