Alabama police looking to ‘solve the mystery’ of thief dressed in Scooby-Doo suit

Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?

That’s what Tuscaloosa Police are asking the public this week as they search for the person who on Sunday broke into the Duncanville Quick Stop on Highway 82.

Camera footage shows the suspect, who police say appears to be a white male, around 5’9”, stealing cash and coins from the location dressed as the beloved cartoon dog.

Officers responded to the store after the security alarm activated at 3:45 a.m., according to a recent release.

“Anyone who can help us unmask this villain may call 205-349-2121 or submit an anonymous tip on our app,” it reads.

Facebook commentors offered the police several pieces of humorous advice.

“It actually wasn’t Scooby, it was old man Smithers disguised as Scooby Doo,” one man wrote.

“And he would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for those meddling kids.”

“Maybe lay out some Scooby snacks and stay really still he will then come to you!” wrote another.
