We’ve got fame on the brain these days, with Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey filming a movie in and around the Birmingham area. His film is called “The Rivals of Amziah King,” in case you hadn’t heard, and the actor has been spotted by fans at a burger joint in Bessemer, a steakhouse in Pell City, a coffeeshop in Birmingham and more.

McConaughey, a Texas native, has several accolades to his credit, including a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award and an MTV Movie Award. He also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And that got us thinking: How many people from Alabama have a star on the celebrity walk in Los Angeles?

As it turns out, more than a dozen Alabama natives have received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as solo performers or with groups. Here’s where you’ll find them.
