Alabama parole officer accused of fondling woman under his authority

An Alabama parole officer was arrested Monday on allegations he fondled a woman under his authority and used his position for personal gain, court records showed.

Jonathan Reid, 40, of Hamilton, was charged with custodial sexual conduct and using his position for personal gain, according to Marion County court records.

Reid, described as a parole or probation officer in court records, allegedly fondled the woman’s genitals in February.

The charges against Reid did not say whether the victim was on probation or if he was the victim’s supervisor.

Reid is being held in the Marion County jail without bond, records showed.
