Alabama OL Tyler Booker will declare for 2025 NFL Draft
One of Alabama football’s leaders up front will depart from Tuscaloosa. Offensive guard Tyler Booker announced his intentions to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.
Booker made the announcement in a social media post.
“I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft,” Booker said in a statement. “It has been an honor to be a captain and a graduate at The University of Alabama. Although I will be moving to my next step in life, a piece of me will always be in Tuscaloosa.”
The New Haven, Conn. native joined the Crimson Tide as a member of the 2022 recruiting class. He earned freshman all-SEC honors in his first season, before earning a starting role as a sophomore.
He remained at Alabama through the transition from Nick Saban to Kalen DeBoer as head coach. Booker earned first-team all-SEC honors this season, plus a slew of second-team all-America nods.
Booker thanked his family, teammates and coaches in the statement announcing his departure. He became the third Alabama player to announce their NFL intentions on Thursday, joining quarterback Jalen Milroe and linebacker Jihaad Campbell.
“Thank you to Coach Saban, Coach DeBoer and their staffs for giving me the opportunity to create value for myself and better myself as an athlete,” Booker said in the statement. “But more importantly as a Man. I have called Tuscaloosa home for the past three years, and it will be home for the rest of my life. I am forever grateful for the community welcoming me with open arms.”
The NFL Draft is set to begin April 25.
