NFL Week 5 betting odds: Best player prop bets and odds for Tua Tagovailoa, Derrick Henry, and Jalen Hurts
Tua Tagovailoa to throw no interceptions vs. the Giants (-135 or better)
The Hawaii native is off to a potential career year, leading the NFL in passing yards and tying for the second-most passing touchdowns. One thing to improve upon is protecting the ball, as Tagovailoa has thrown one interception in three of Miami’s four games.
However, the risk of another pick is limited vs. a Giants defense that’s been abysmal. New York’s 30 points allowed per game is the third-worst mark in the NFL, and the G-Men have yet to record an interception.
Derrick Henry 80+ rushing yards vs. the Colts (+100 or better)
Derrick Henry finally found his mojo in Week 4, rushing for 122 yards and a touchdown. In Tennesse’s opening three games, King Henry failed to surpass 80 yards on the ground.
Expect another big workload and successful outing vs. a Colts defense that ranks in the bottom half of the NFL in stopping the run. Indianapolis allows 126 yards per week and is coming off a Week 4 loss in which the Rams’ Kyren Williams tallied 103 yards and two scores.
Jalen Hurts over 39.5 rushing yards vs. the Rams (-120 or better)
Hurts’ durable frame and athleticism make him a threat to scramble out of the pocket and pick up big yardage on a given play. But the 25-year-old hasn’t been forced to rely on his legs much this season, as his top single-game output was 37 yards in Week 1.
But that could change in Week 5 due to the Rams’ stout defense. Aaron Donald has been dominant like always, helping Los Angeles allow the seventh-lowest passing yards per game.
Expect Hurts to use his legs more this week when the pocket collapses and receivers aren’t open downfield.
