Alabama next state surplus property online auction starts Saturday

Need a new laptop? What about a truck or office furniture? Or maybe even some robotic construction equipment?

All that and more is up for bid in Alabama’s next online state surplus property auction that starts Saturday, June 17.

The Surplus Property Division of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs is hosting the online auction via GovDeals.com starting at Saturday at 7:30 a.m. with bidding running until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 25. The auction includes property no longer needed by state and federal agencies, as well as items abandoned voluntarily at several airports in the Southeast.

Auction items can be inspected on-site at the Surplus Property Division’s Montgomery Distribution Center at 4590 Mobile Highway on Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.
