Alabama mom charged with murder of 4-month-old son
An Alabama mother was arrested on murder charges in connection with the death of her 4-year-old son, authorities said Wednesday.
Nehemiah Pruitt, 4 months, died Jan. 31 after he was transported by emergency medical services from the Old Jackson Heights public housing community in Lanett, in Chambers County, said Lanett Police Chief Denise McCain.
It was unclear whether Nehemiah made it to a hospital.
On Thursday, McCain announced that the infant boy’s mother, 26-year-old Valley resident Jamesia Brichae Pruitt, was arrested in connection with Nehemiah’s death.
McCain did not elaborate on the circumstances of the infant’s death.
The case remained under investigation as of Wednesday.
