Alabama-Mississippi State preempts Flyball Dog Challenge on ESPN News, and SEC fans have jokes
The start of the Alabama-Mississippi State game was moved from ESPN to ESPN News, preempting the “Flyball Dog Challenge,” and SEC football fans had jokes.
Alabama’s game was moved due to the Ole Miss-LSU game in Oxford running long. The Alabama game will shift back to ESPN after the prior contest concludes.
Flyball, or The Ultimate Dog Relay, features teams of trained dogs competing in a 51-ft. relay race filled with events and obstacles. Flyball is a relay race where dogs dash over a line of low hurdles to reach a box. Once there, they use their paws to push a spring-loaded pad and release a tennis ball into the air that they catch and bring back to their handlers. Once back to the starting line, the next dog takes his turn.
As you can imagine, fans on social media made their opinions known.
