Alabama and Michigan will meet in the first round of the CFP, it was announced Sunday. The No. 1 Wolverines and No. 4 Crimson Tide will meet Jan. 1, in the Rose Bowl. Tickets are available Vivid Seats, StubHub and Seat Geek.

Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. (5 p.m. ET) from Pasadena.

The College Football Playoff semifinal will be played as the 110th edition of the Rose Bowl Game. The two blue bloods haven’t faced each other since the season opener of 2012. The Crimson Tide routed the Wolverines in Arlington, Texas, in that matchup.

Michigan is in the Rose Bowl Game for the 21st time, while Alabama is making its seventh appearance in the New Year’s Day classic. Michigan finished the season 13-0 after beating Iowa in the Big Ten championship game, while Alabama earned the final spot in the playoff by knocking off Georgia 27-24 in the SEC title game.

Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines didn’t appear to be excited to face Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide.
