Alabama matches Miami feat with 4 1,000-yard NFL ball-carriers in 2024

In 2024, running backs Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions, Najee Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Derrick Henry of the Baltimore Ravens and Josh Jacobs of the Green Bay Packers matched a feat achieved by four players from Miami (Fla.) in the 2007 NFL season.

In 2007, Frank Gore, Edgerrin James, Willis McGahee and Clinton Portis recorded 1,000-yard rushing seasons in the NFL. Gibbs, Harris, Henry and Jacobs did the same in 2024, and each of the running backs played at Alabama.

Henry had his sixth 1,000-yard season in the NFL. Harris and Jacobs own four apiece. Gibbs recorded his first, becoming the eighth Alabama alumnus to reach the milestone and the 18th player from an Alabama high school or college to do so.

The 18 players have combined for 52 1,000-yard seasons.
