Sheila Agee, 50, of McIntosh, Ala., is charged as an accomplice after text messages obtained by investigators showed she not only knew of her son’s plan to kill Sims, butencouraged and helped facilitate the murder. Sheila Agee reportedly worked with Sims for the company contracted by Home Depot.
In the first of the series of text messages between Keith Agee and his mother show Keith Agee referencing the fact he believed Sims had given him an STD, but the reference to the STD was redacted when released by the Escambia County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office. The report obtained by the PNJ includes the redacted information.
“Shi ain’t do nun but cost me money and gave me a ******* I’m fin just shoot her Ik I hate that for (Agee and Sims’ daughter) and buh like I said I can’t take it idgaf Nomo,” Keith Sims wrote in the first text.

Two others were injured in the shooting, one of whom told investigators she heard at least five shots before she tried to flee and suffered a gunshot wound to her hand.
Surveillance video does not capture the shooting, but does show Agee running back toward the same entrance where he entered, according to the report. He is then seen on exterior cameras running through the parking lot, getting into a silver sedan and fleeing at a high rate of speed.
Not long after, Sims called 911 from a local pizza restaurant, saying he wanted to turn himself in. He has been charged with both Sims’ murder and two counts of aggravated battery for the injuries to the other two employees. He is being held at the Escambia County Jail without bond pending a Sept. 1 court appearance.
Shelia Sims was taken into custody in Washington County, Ala., Monday and extradited to Pensacola Wednesday morning. She is also being held without bond at the Escambia County Jail, with a scheduled court date of Sept. 8.
