A Prattville man died Saturday afternoon after his pickup truck crashed into a tree in Bibb County, according to state troopers.

Timothy Knox Jr., 39, died on the scene of the single-vehicle crash, Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a press release.

“The passenger, Samantha J. Grayson, 40, also of Prattville, was injured and transported to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital (UAB) for treatment,” Bailey said in the release.

Knox was driving a 1996 Dodge Ram, which left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned on Alabama 139 near Six Mile Creek, approximately 10 miles east of Brierfield, in Bibb County.

The crash is under investigation.
