A Montgomery man is facing murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting Wednesday.

Freddie Wright, 38, was arrested in connection with the shooting death of his wife, Keisha Wright, 39.

Sgt. Tina McGriff said on Wednesday at about 2:32 p.m., police and fire medics were called to the 1200 block of West Boulevard on a reported shooting.

At the scene, officers found Keisha Wright, who had life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment where she died Thursday from her injuries.

Freddie Wright has been placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
