Morgan County investigators have charged a man with several sex crimes related to a child.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said Robert William Schneider, 62 of Bailyton, was arrested this morning on warrants.

He has been charged with sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12, first degree rape, first degree sodomy and incest.

Schneider was booked into the Morgan County Jail on $250,000 bond.

According to investigators, the charges stem from a 2020 report.

Morgan County DHR, the Morgan County Child Advocacy Center and the Morgan County District Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.
