An Alabama man charged with capital murder for a fatal 2021 shooting pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of felony murder on Monday, the same day his trial was set to begin, court records showed.
Trinity Orlando Martin, 22, of Huntsville, was charged with capital murder in the 2021 shooting of Jaylen King.
King was a passenger in a vehicle when he was shot to death in Madison County, according to the indictment against Martin.
