Alabama man charged after missing 18-year-old girl found dead in his home, authorities say
A 20-year-old Elkmont man faces multiple charges after the body of a teenage girl was found in his home.
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office said Johnathan Andrew Etter, 20, has been booked into the Limestone County Jail. Bond has not yet been set. He is currently charged with abuse of a corpse, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. He may face further charges.
On Thursday, the sheriff’s office received a missing person report involving an 18-year-old girl from an Ardmore family.
A subsequent search included a residence in the 24000 block of Esten Lane, identified as the home of the missing girl’s ex-boyfriend.
They found there the body of the missing teen. A search warrant revealed further evidence, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin extended condolences to the girl’s family.
“We ask the community to join us in prayer and support for the loved ones impacted by this tragic loss,” McLaughlin said.
