Alabama linebacker signs NIL deal with IHOP for âfan cakesâ
Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell loves IHOP, and the eatery has returned the favor.
The sophomore linebacker has inked an NIL deal with pancake-centric restaurant. Campbell is one of three SEC players and seven college football stars to promote a new “Fan Cakes” video series, where the athletes sample and select their favorite pancake orders.
Campbell declares the Cinn-A-Stack Pancakes his favorite. The plate is not for the faint of heart. It includes four pancakes layered with cinnamon roll filling and topped with cream-cheese icing.
A week after a breakout performance versus rival Tennessee – where he recorded 10 tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown, earning himself SEC Defensive Player of the Week and Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week – Alabama sophomore linebacker Jihaad Campbell adds another line item to his growing resume; International House of Pancakes endorser.
The SEC players involved are Florida’s Roderick Kearney and Texas A&M’s Kam Dewberry. All three selected the Cinn-A-Stack as their favorite.
Other players include:
- Ephesians Prysock, University of Arizona, Cinn-A-Stack,
- Drew Kendall, Boston College, Mexican Tres Leches
- Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig, University of Colorado, Strawberry BananaProtein Pancake
- Devin Mockobee, Purdue University, Chocolate Chocolate ChipPancake
- Landen Hatchett, University of Washington, Cinn-A-Stack
Jihaad Campbell returned a fumble for a score in the fourth quarter to help propel Alabama last month to 27 unanswered second-half points in rallying for a 34-20 victory over Tennessee.
