Alabama high school teacher jailed for allegedly raping student, records show

A teacher and soccer coach at a north Alabama high school was jailed Monday on rape and other charges allegedly involving a student, records showed.

Isaac Dismuke, a 28-year-old English/foreign language teacher at Crossville High School who also doubles as boys’ soccer coach at the school, was arrested Monday by DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies on two counts of rape and two counts of a school employee engaging in a sexual act with a student, according to county jail records.

Dismuke, of Fort Payne, was released Monday night after posting $300,000 bond, records showed.

Further information on the allegations was not available, and Dismuke’s case was not entered into DeKalb County court records as of Monday night.
